Macallan 18 Year Sherry Oak
$849.99
Well. Let's not ignore the elephant in the room. This is a heckuva lot of coin to lay down. No point in beating a dead horse; that's what it costs to play nowadays, unfortunately. But by this point, I think we all know that Macallan is more than a whisky. It's a statement. This new edition of the 18 Sherry Oak is currently sitting at 89.14 points on Whiskybase.

Glen Garioch Renaissance 17 Year
$174.99
Chapter 3 in the four part Renaaissance range, which began with a 15-year-old, released back in the slightly more innocent days of 2014. We've now reached 17 years and an entire new spectrum of flavours. We love Glen Garioch when it steps outside the safe zone like this.

Aberfeldy 18 Year Bolgheri Edition
$181.99
Following on the heels of Pauillac 18 y.o., we now have a new wine-finished Aberfeldy. The producers tell us that "Bolgheri wines are robust, full of dark fruit flavours (blackberry, dark cherry) with an intense oak finish." Should be a pretty vibrant mash-up with the Aberfeldy distillery character. And just the mention of cherries has us salivating.

Benromach Contrasts: Triple Distilled
$93.99
Part of the Benromach Contrasts range, this single malt was triple distilled before filling into First-Fill ex-Bourbon casks. It was bottled at 46% without colouring or chillfiltration.
Producer Description
"Benromach Triple Distilled is a limited release matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. Passing once through the wash still and twice through the spirit still, it delivers a lighter style which offers delicate and sweet notes with ripe tropical fruits, malt biscuit and vanilla, leading to banana, green apple and subtle smoke."
Rest & Be Thankful Port Charlotte 2005
$309.99
Unquestionably one of the most exciting and challenging whiskies on the market, Port Charlotte commands attention in all its guises. In fact, there's a part of me that wishes Bruichladdich would ditch the other ranges and produce Port Charlotte full time, but I suppose variety is also a good thing. Unfortunately, heavy demand on the distillery's stocks means that it is exceedingly rare to see PC beyond 10 years of age. Thankfully we have indie bottlers like Rest & Be Thankful, who are the only ones giving us higher age statement Port Charlotte expressions. This single cask (#1577) appears to be full term maturation in an ex-wine hogshead. At cask strength, this should be a real rollercoaster of flavours. Look for sweetness, big smoke, and a whole lot of farmyard in a bottle.

Bushmills 12 Year
$75.99

Rest & Be Thankful Port Charlotte 2002
$439.99
Single cask, cask strength, Port Charlotte. Hell yeah. After nearly two decades in an ex-wine hogshead, our friends at Rest & Be Thankful were able to get just 222 bottles of this one. Expect the wine to deliver some sweet, sour, and savoury notes to Port Charlotte's smoky, coastal, and farmy stylings. We're itching to try this one, because let's face it...19 year old Port Charlotte is as rare as hen's teeth.
