This original Great King Street is composed of 46% Lowland Grain, 45% Single Malt from the Northern Highlands and 9% Speyside Single Malt. 66% of the whisky was matured in 1st Fill Ex-Bourbon, 26% in New French Oak and 8% in 1st Fill Sherry. The result is a very complex, balanced and easy drinking malt.

Nose: Rich. Maple syrup, spices and mustard. Can a whisky have a hint of acidity on the nose? Yes, but rahter the acidity of a Lenny Bruce rather than of vinegar.
Palate: Marijuana. Big interplay of smoky dryness, spicy heat and sweetly malty, creamy vanilla.
Finish: Rounded with raisiny sherry. At length, mellow.
