"The inspiration for this label comes straight out of a British made sitcom called ‘Father Ted’ It originally aired on Channel 4 from April 1995 and ran for just three series up until May 1998 Set on the fictional Craggy Island, a remote location off Ireland's west coast, the show is about three priests exiled on the island for various past incidents. Our label comes from an episode called ‘A Song for Europe’ that featured ‘My lovely Horse’."
Glenfarclas 1992 KWM 30 Annv Family Cask

We were given the opportunity to sample a few Glenfarclas 1992 casks last year, to select one for bottling as a special Kensington Wine Market 30th Anniversary release. We had the privilege to bottle a 1997 Family Cask in 2011. As demand and prices for Family Casks rose over the last decade, I never thought we'd ever bottle another.
Last summer we were shown some samples of Glenfarclas distilled in 1992, and offered the opportunity to select one to help us mark our 30th Anniversary. 1992 is after all the year we first opened our doors, and whisky from the early 1990s is getting increasingly scarce and expensive. I never doubted for a moment that we would find a cask we liked, but rather worried about the total cost of committing to a full cask of whisky from 1992...
After reviewing the samples, one of the casks clearly stood out, it was stunning. I knew at that moment that we couldn't possibly pass on the opportunity to bottle another legacy bottling like this, and I think that gamble has more than paid off.
This is our 8th KWM exclusive bottling of Glenfarclas, and our second Glenfarclas Family Cask. The whisky was bottled on the 20th of January, 2022, at 29 years of age, as a special 30th Anniversary bottling. 52.6%
While not inexpensive, it is relatively speaking, a very good deal: $100 less than the Summer 2021 Family Cask release of 1992; and $240 less than the current pricing for Glenfarclas 30 Year... With the right perspective, this whisky is in fact a steal!

Loch Lomond 2011 KWM Cask #5733

Our first ever single cask of Loch Lomond, a distillery bottling too, is here... Distilled in 2011 from a mash on unpeated malt, the spirit was produced in a straight neck still configuration and was cut at high strength. The whisky was matured 11 years in a Refill Bourbon Barrel, cask #5733, bottled at 60.4%, exclusively for Kensington Wine Market!
Boutique-y Irish SM #2 Batch 6 15 Year

These Irish single malts have been some of our favorite releases from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The 13- and 14-year-olds were delicious and juicy fruit bombs. This new 15-year old-Irish single malt (from the same distillery as the previous two releases) was bottled at at 50.2% and limited to just 1,900 bottles.

"Aeneas Coffey was the Irishman who improved upon Robert Stein's column stills and patented his own Coffey (say 'coffee') Still in 1830. His new, more efficient piece of kit was soon adopted all around the world, except, ironically, in Ireland. In fact, the Irish* told him to jog on! They were understandably rather attached to their pot stills and the full flavoured single malts and single pot still whiskeys they produced.

Our 5th KWM exclusive Benromach cask (3rd in the current packaging) was bottled just shy of its 20th birthday, having matured in a single first-fill ex-Bourbon Barrel. This whisky is bright, creamy, tropical, and decadent with clean smoke. It is the closest thing we've ever tasted to the legendary twenty-something Broras... Only 196 bottles were filled at 56.2%.

Our 13th KWM exclusive single cask of Arran (16th if you count a couple of shared bottlings with a local club,) was filled into a Sherry Butt Cask #930 on the 14th of May 2013, and was bottled after 9 years on March 7, 2023, at 58.2%. We've bottled lots of Sherry Hoggies of Arran, but I think this is our first ever Butt, and there are 516 total bottles!
