Much like the Loire region in France, Chenin Blanc tends to thrive in parts of South Africa and as such it is widely planted, yielding some excellent results. This 100% Chenin Blanc (or Steen as it is sometimes called locally) comes from the Swartland region. It is produced by the Mullineux family and it is fermented in both tanks and used French oak barrels to create a balanced wine with both silkiness and acidity. Great value in a crisp summer white.
Try pairing this versatile Chenin Blanc with Gruyère cheese, veal parmigiana, Chinese take-out, smoked salmon, or even turkey dinner.

Description: Loch Gorm 2025 Edition was matured in oloroso sherry butts previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin for a minimum of 10 years. The 23 casks selected by Kilchoman Founder, Anthony Wills, are a combination of 20 fresh and 3 refill casks from two different distillation years. The sherry-soaked oak adds layers of rich dark fruit character which balance beautifully with classic Kilchoman peat smoke and citrus flavours."
