Bottled at 43% the Sour Mash is produced in small batches of less than 20 casks, it is part of the distillery's core range.
While the Michter’s name has a long and storied history, the Michter’s Distillery of Louisville, KY has only been in operation since 2015. Any whiskey bottled that is older than that was sourced from other distilleries, typically within Kentucky. Luckily, the quality of anything bottled with the Michter’s label on it is typically high, regardless of their original provenance.
Other than their single barrel products, Michter’s typically bottles their whiskey from selected small batches of 20 barrels or less.
From the Distillery: "During the 1970s and 1980s, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey was the distillery’s single most popular product. While the “Sour Mash” moniker originated from the whiskey production process of the same name – whereby some previously fermented mash is used as the starter for the new mash to be fermented, much like making sourdough bread – Michter’s Original Sour Mash earned distinction for its unique taste. With its unique grain selection, it cannot be categorized as a rye or a bourbon. After disappearing from the market in 1989, Michter’s Original Sour Mash Whiskey made a triumphant return in 2012 with its introduction into the US*1 line. Staying true to the profile and palette of its predecessor, Michter’s US*1 Sour Mash has quickly become a favorite of whiskey enthusiasts.

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked was introduced to the world in February of 2012. The Double Oaked is given a secondary maturation in deeply toasted/lightly charred Virgin Oak barrels for less than a year. Bottled at 45.2% ABV

Old Grand Dad Bonded Bourbon

This is a Bonded Bourbon from Old Grand-Dad/Jim Beam Distillery in Kentucky. It uses the Old Grandad recipe, which is a high-rye mash bill, purportedly amounting to about 27% Rye in the mash.
The term "Bonded" or "Bottled in Bond" means that this whiskey had to adhere to the following standards as originally written into law by the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897:
- All whiskey in the bottle must be produced by one distillery and by one distiller over the course of one distillation season.
- The whiskey must be at least four years old.
- It must be bottled at 100 proof / 50% ABV
- The whiskey must be aged in bonded warehouses under United States federal supervision.
- The label on the bottle has to state which distillery it comes from and also where it was bottled.
High West Campfire

High West has been around for a while in Park City, Utah – since 2007 to be exact. It was the first legal distillery to open in Utah since Prohibition.
High West Campfire is probably their most unique and also their most divisive product. The components of this bottle may give you an idea as to why: Campfire is a blend of Straight Rye Whiskey plus Straight Bourbon Whiskey – but that is not all! It also contains some Blended Malt Scotch – and this Scotch is Peated. Campfire is a wonderful mutant of a whiskey. Bottled at 46% ABV.
The components are all aged in a combination of charred new American Oak (the Bourbon and the Rye) and second use Bourbon Barrels (Likely the Blended Malt Scotch and possibly when the whiskeys are being married together). The compenents specifically are:
- Straight Rye composed of the 95% Rye MGP mashbill, plus High West's own 80%Rye, 20% Malted Rye recipe
- Straight Bourbon composed of 75% Corn, 21% Rye and 4% Malted Barley from MGP
- Blended Malt Scotch Whisky from an undisclosed source

Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Bourbon travels the world to create a unique flavour profile, with the ship it resides on making multiple stops at different harbours in the voyage as well as experiencing the different weather along the way. In the 17 and 1800s, Bourbon travelled down the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers to New Orleans. Ageing whisky on a ship may speed up the process and add unique character. Voyage 28 is bottled at 45%.

The American Prairie Bourbon takes its name from the American Prairie Reserve, which is a group attempting to create the largest wildlife reserve in mainland USA. This Straight Bourbon itself is composed of whisky sourced from multiple distilleries including the 75% Corn, 21% Rye and 4% Malted Barley Mashbill of MGP Distillery of Indiana, and a few other undisclosed Bourbons from other distilleries. The components between three and thirteen years of age before being blended together and bottled at 46% ABV.

Wild Turkey 101

A solid, bold bourbon at a great price, the Wild Turkey 101 is aged for about 6 to 8 years and bottled at 50.5% ABV. It is made at Wild Turkey Distillery in Anderson County near Lawrenceburg, KY.
Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and Associate Master Distiller Eddie Russell are the only father-son duo in the Bourbon Hall of Fame.
Wild Turkey was named such by an executive from Austin Nichols, who poured some barrel proof bourbon for friends on a wild turkey hunt. The whiskey was a hit and the next year he was asked to bring more of that Wild Turkey bourbon for the annual hunt.

Old Forester 86 Proof is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon made at Old Forester Distillery in Lousiville. The Old Forester Distillery is owned by Brown-Foreman, who also owns the Woodford Distillery which is responsible for Woodford Reserve and is located in Versailles, Kentucky.
Old Forester's Bourbon mash bill is purportedly the same as that for its Woodford Reserve cousin, which is 72% Corn, 18% rye, and 10% Malted Barley.
