GrainHenge Forestburg Bourbon Style No.1
$109.99
From Troubled Monk's GrainHenge Distillery in Red Deer Alberta comes this Bourbon-style whisky made from a mash of Corn, Malted Barley, Malted Rye, and Malted Wheat. It was matured in new American Oak casks #3 and #4 char levels before being bottled at 44.1% ABV.
Producer Description
"The Spirit of Forestburg - Nestled amongst a rich agricultural landscape and the Battle River, sits the community of Forestburg, a community shaped by generations of agriculture, grit, and dedication to the prairie way of life.
For decades, grain elevators have watched our communities grow and evolve into what they are today, bearing witness to the harvests, relentless winters, and generations of friends, family and neighbours.
Our GrainHenge Forestburg whisky is the ode to the rural Alberta lifestyle and the grain elevator that has stood tall, affixed on the horizon, a timekeeper of stories of generations past. It’s made in small batches by folks whose attention to detail speaks for itself. The kind of people who don’t mind rolling up their sleeves, putting in the hours, and doing things the right way, even when no one’s watching. You can taste that kind of honesty. It shows up in carefully selected ingredients, in the way the barrels rest, and in the patience it takes to let a whisky become what it’s meant to be.
GrainHenge isn’t fussy. It isn’t trying to impress you with big speeches or fancy words. It’s just a damn good whisky built for people who work hard, take pride in what they do, and appreciate a moment that feels earned.
Pour it neat, sip it slow and let it remind you of where you come from, and where you’re headed next."

One of the most iconic bottles in the whiskey world. That red wax dipped neck has been the calling card of Maker's Mark - one of America's finest wheated bourbons. Boutique-y 10 Year American Bourbon
$104.99
10 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, at 45.8%.
That Boutique-Y Whisky Company seems to have a fixation with placing hooved animals on their labels right now. Whisky from Scotland often gets a deer on the front. Irish Whiskey is denoted by a horse. Canadian Whisky gets a moose. This American Bourbon gets a bison... or is that a buffalo?
Could this Buffalo be a hint, allowing us to Trace the providence of this whiskey? Who knows... Maybe it is actually a red herring.
Producer Description
"Stampeding it’s way straight from Kentucky, here comes TBWC’s American addition to its “Core” range, bearing a 10 year old age statement, and a bison,
"Our 10 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a true reflection of Kentucky tradition, distilled from a classic corn-forward mash bill (77% corn) and aged in deeply charred American oak barrels. Layers of vanilla, dark toffee, and toasted pecans are complemented by warm baking spices and a touch of leather, leading to a velvety, well-rounded finish."

Bardstown Bottled in Bond KS Bourbon

Michter's Kentucky Straight Bourbon
$82.99
This is Michter's Flagship Bourbon, bottled at 45.7%, it is excellent value.
While the Michter’s name has a long and storied history, the Michter’s Distillery of Louisville, KY has only been in operation since 2015. Any whiskey bottled that is older than that was sourced from other distilleries, typically within Kentucky. Luckily, the quality of anything bottled with the Michter’s label on it is typically high, regardless of their original provenance.
Other than their single barrel products, Michter’s typically bottles their whiskey from selected small batches of 20 barrels or less.
From the Distillery: "Michter’s US 1 Bourbon is made from a carefully selected mashbill that features the highest quality American corn. It is then matured to the peak of perfection, with barrels often aging in excess of eight years. Truly “small batch,” each batch of our US 1 Bourbon is typically composed of no more than two dozen barrels, leaving no margin for “blending out” imperfection and thus necessitating excellence from every barrel," according to the team at Michter's. It has notes of "rich caramel with balanced vanilla, stone fruit notes, smoky depth, with an oak finish."
