Jacques Seysses started Domaine Dujac in 1968. He was not born in Burgundy, but winemaking is his true vocation. His love for wine comes from his father, a gourmet with a passion for fine wines. Even as a young boy, Jacques would meet the greatest winegrowers of the time in the company of his father. From only 5 hectares in 1968, the estate gradually expanded to 11 hectares in 1977, and then reached 15.5 hectares in 2005. Over the years, the estate has expanded beyond the historic site of Morey-Saint-Denis. In 2014, with the acquisition of leased vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet (the Premier Crus Folatières and Combettes), the Domaine produces wines in both Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. The trio of Tinta Roriz (30% - also known as Tempranillo), Touriga Franca (45%) and Touriga Nacional (25%) go into this Portuguese red from the Quinta Da Urze vineyards owned by the Roboredo Madeira family. The fruit is destemmed, crushed gently and undergoes thermal shock followed by a period of maceration. Pre-fermentation takes place in a cold mill for about 12 to 24 hours. After this, the wine is transferred to fermentation tanks for a low maceration for 8 days at 22ºC. 40% of the wine is aged in French oak for 8 months.

Anne-Sophie Dubois is part of a new generation of rising star vignerons in Beaujolais. Based in the heart of Fleurie, Anne-Sophies' wines epitomize delicacy and finesse, with a style and approach aligned with the Gamay grown in the area. Having learned winemaking in Volnay, she draws from her experience there to elegant wines; full of depth and aromatic complexity, and without the over-extraction of fruit.
In addition to a Beaujolais blanc, Anne-Sophie produces three additional cuvées, the most accessible wine being the Paso Doublé Gamay, which is labelled as Bourgogne Rouge and meant to be enjoyed upon release. Her other two wines, l’Alchemiste and Clepsydre, exhibit considerable aromatic complexity, depth, and nuance on the palate. She refrains from using new oak and prefers to utilize cement vats and larger neutral oak casks for fermentation and aging. The resulting wines are renditions of gamay abound with fruit, finesse and exquisite balance. She is also an artist and is responsible for the very cool labels on her bottles. The wines are made in a natural style but in the best sense of the term (in other words refermenting or microbiological issues).

The seed for a career in wine was planted squarely in the Bourbon Whiskey country of Lexington, Kentucky. While waiting tables to put himself through school, Ken was exposed to fine wines from regions around the world. The passion became avocation when Ken left the Bluegrass State to attend enology and viticulture classes at UC Davis. Eight years were spent winemaking for Ventana Vineyards, Chalone and Talbott Vineyards in Monterey County on California’s central coast. Friends from the Willamette Valley piqued Ken’s interest in the region when they would visit, and a trip to the Dundee Hills in 1976 convinced him that this was where the finest Pinot noir in North America was being grown. Instrumental in organizing the six new American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) in the Northern Willamette Valley that define in detail the distinct growing areas within the region, he wrote the proposition for the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and served as the association’s first President. He is a true pioneer in Oregon's wine industry, specializing in single vineyard wines that display unique characteristics, much as Pinot Noir does in Burgundy.
