Founded in 1896 by Giovanno Massolino, this family-operated winery is famed for its collection of prime Barolo vineyard sites. The 20-hectare estate is today managed by 4th-generation winemakers, Franco and Roberto Massolino. Located in the heart of the village of Serralunga d’Alba, Massolino is known for classically styled wines.The 2019 Massolino Dolcetto D'Alba is made from grapes which were hand-harvested from 3.2 hectares of vines planted at 330 meters on the limestone soils of the Dolcetto d’Alba subzone. In the cellar, the grapes were gently crushed and vinified in stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine is racked to steel tanks where it undergoes malolactic fermentation.
