This is the 6th Batch of Aberlour was bottled released by That Boutique-y Whisky Company in 2018. It was bottled at 9 years old and at 49.7%. 3080 of the company's standard 500ml bottles were made in total. Though you cannot tell by the colour of the whisky alone, this bottling of Aberlour sure looks like it could be a lot less sherried than the official releases we see from the distillery.... Interesting.

Part of the Milk & Honey Distillery's Elements Range, this single malt was matured in ex-Bourbon before finishing in ex-Red Wine Casks (STR Casks).
Producer Description: "Ex-red wine casks that were sourced from Israel's finest wineries were picked for this part of the Elements trilogy. The Mediterranean’s climate, variety of soil types, hot sunny days and cool nights bring a spicy and unique flavor to Israeli wine – and in turn, our casks. The wine casks used in the Elements Red Wine are a celebration of local terroir, curating a floral single malt with notes of raisins."

The Sanaig is part of Kilchoman's regular release lineup along with the Machir Bay. Kilchoman Sanaig, which is named after an Inlet off the NorthWest coast of Islay, is made from a combination of about 20% ex-Bourbon casks and 80% ex-Sherry Casks - mostly Oloroso Sherry in style. We have noticed the colour on this dram has gotten a fair bit darker over the past few years - possibly due to more first-fill ex-Sherry casks being used... Bottled at 46%.

Well, look who's back? This little gem is starting to become a perennial favourite, and for good reason: it's absolutely killer whisky at an inexplicably low price point! According to the folks at Dewar's, this has "been aged, blended together, aged again, then finished in sherry casks."
There is no overstating how cool it is that they have given us a blend with a high age statement and a robust bottling strength. Way to step into the spotlight, Dewar's. Well done.

The Craigellachie 13 Year is matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks before 50% of the batch is finished in first fill ex-Sherry casks and 50% is finished in first fill ex-Bourbon casks. The resulting flavourful combination is married together and bottled at 46%.
Part of the Last Great Malts series from Bacardi/Dewar's, this 13yr old along with the rest of the Craigellachie official prime-numbered lineup was introduced in 2014.
