On top of using a larger amount of younger whisky in the blend to give a more full and concentrated profile, the Caol Ila portion of the mix is apparently bumped up to a slightly larger percentage than what is in the regular Black Label. More heavily charred casks are also used to provide this bolder flavour profile.
