Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel
$67.99
Another newer entry from Heaven Hill, the Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel takes a cue from the Woodford Double Oak by similarity finishing or using a second maturation in lightly charred and toasted virgin oak barrels.
From The Producer
"Twice barreled for added complexity, Toasted Barrel takes our award-winning Small Batch Bourbon to new heights. After it's fully matured, we finish this Bourbon in a second, custom toasted new oak barrel, where it’s left to develop even more sweet oak flavor."

Producer Description
"With “Lessons Honored” I wanted to pay homage to my father, Fred, and the lessons he passed down about bourbon and life. A lot of the lessons Dad taught me go back to honesty and integrity. Being true to yourself is something that’s very important in our family and that carries over into our whiskey brands. Each liquid was chosen because of a connection to my dad and a lesson he taught me.
"The base of the blend is a Kentucky Straight Brown Rice Bourbon which reminds me of the first project I ever really handled on my own at the distillery. The “high rye” rye whiskey is an ode to Booker’s Rye, an award-winning product created in 2017 and one of the first that Dad and I tasted together. It was a legendary release in honor of my granddaddy Booker Noe, and it was very special to play a small part in selecting and bottling the liquid with my dad. The last liquid Dad actually helped pick, though he didn’t know it at the time. I brought him samples of a few liquids at different ages, and he ultimately picked this 7-year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which is representative of our Small Batch Collection.
"Crafting this bourbon wasn’t as difficult as previous years, because I had such a strong vision for the blend going into the liquid selection. In total, we tested 22 different blends in comparison to previous chapters where we tested more than 40. I spent most of my time perfecting the blend itself to balance the flavors and taste profile to create the final product. This year’s blue neck tag is also an ode to my dad’s favorite sports team."
Dumangin Whisky Bourbon
$149.99
Our friend Gilles Dumangin, a 4th generation Champagne producer near Reims, also produces a fortified wine called Ratafia Champenois. He has secured whiskies from distilleries all over the world, which he has finished in his own Ratafia casks. They are exclusive to KWM in Canada, with just 24 bottles of each coming into the market. This Bourbon, with a high rye content of 28.5%, was probably distilled by Jim Beam based on the prominent peanut note. It was bottled at 46% after finishing 8 Months in Ratafia Champenois Casks.

Doc Swinson's Alter Ego Solera Rye
$76.99
Made from MGP Distillery Rye - and that is a good thing! Doc Swinson's has started with the exceptional MGP 95% Rye mash bill and blended it together with MGP's 51% Rye mash bill. Both components are at least five years old before being married into the top row of the Solera system made from casks that previously held rum. The result is a unique take on an American Rye that went south to get a tan and enjoy a Planter's Punch or three!
With warehousing and blending done in Ferndale, Washington, Doc Swinson's is a bottler of sourced Bourbon and Rye Whiskies that are blended together in small (sometimes very small) batches and released under one of three ranges. The bottlings are categorized under Doc Swinson's Flagship, Exploratory, or Rare Release range. Like many independent bottlers of American Whiskey, the venerable MGP Distillery of Indiana seems to be a key component in many of Doc Swinson's releases.
