Stagg Jr.
$76.49
Stagg Jr. is a 8 to 9 year old version of Buffalo Trace's iconic George T. Stagg bottling released once a year as part of their antique collection. Bottled at 66.05% we've only received a handful of initial bottles.
From the Distillery: "George T. Stagg built the most dominant American distillery of the 19th century, during a time known as the Gilded Age of Bourbon. Uncut and unfiltered, this robust bourbon whiskey ages for nearly a decade and boasts the bold character that is reminiscent of the man himself."
Distiller's Tasting Note: "Rich, sweet, chocolate and brown sugar flavors mingle in perfect balance with the bold rye spiciness. The boundless finish lingers with hints of cherries, cloves and smokiness."
Hudson Manhattan Rye
$69.99
Tuthilltown distillery was the first distillery in New York since prohibition. It's Manhattan Rye Whiskey had been created to resurect a style of whiskey popular in the New York area prior to prohibition. All of the ingredients are sourced within 10 miles of the distillery.
From the Distillery: "Our rye whiskey is known for its spiciness; its rich and shifting flavor and aroma. The spirit’s peppery start transitions to a honey-cinnamon depth. Note the butteriness that lingers after each sip. Needless to say, this spirit makes an incredible Manhattan. Try the “Hudson Manhattan” recipe listed in the recipes section on our website."
The Duke Kentucky Bourbon
$74.99
This Bourbon was produced by one of John Wayne's decedents, and is said to be of a style enjoyed by the Duke himself. Bottles from his personal collection found after 50 years were used as a reference. The Duke was at one point apparently planning his own distillery.
From the Distillery: "Distilled the old-fashioned way; hand crafted in small batches and aged in new hand built heavily charred American Oak barrels. A selection of 5 to 10 year old whiskeys are chosen barrel by barrel and blended by hand before the DUKE Bourbon reaches the bottle, and ultimately, you."
Woodford Reserve 1L
$53.99
This 1L bottling of Woodford Reserve said "Duty Free" in the description, but with such a great label, inspired by the Kentucky Derby, who were we to turn it down?!. The whisky is sweet and honey, with the corn and toasted oak notes shinning through. The pot stills it is distilled in has lent a big oily body and some leathery notes. The rye too makes its presence felt with spices and darker fruits.
Woodford is a Bourbon Distillery with Scottish roots, and which employs pot stills for its distillation. The distillery is nestled into a little hollow south of Frankfort. The warehouses have a unique gravity fed rail system on which its barrels can be moved around the site. Woodford Reserve was the official Bourbon of the 2014 Kentucky Derby.
Michter's 10 Year Old Rye
$238.49
This 10-year-old Kentucky straight rye whiskey is a gem, from selected single casks and bottled at 46.4% ABV. Only very limited quantities available and infrequently.
While the Michter’s name has a long and storied history, the Michter’s Distillery of Louisville, KY has only been in operation since 2015. Any whiskey bottled that is older than that was sourced from other distilleries, typically within Kentucky. Luckily, the quality of anything bottled with the Michter’s label on it is typically high, regardless of their original provenance.
Other than their single barrel products (which would only come from one barrel of course), Michter’s typically bottles their whiskey from selected small batches of 20 barrels or less.
Bib & Tucker Bourbon
$93.99
"During America’s rough and tumble early days, the term 'bib & tucker' was used to describe your finest attire, the kind you’d wear to a wedding or special dance. Along those same lines of thinking, we’re putting forth our finest. Bib and Tucker is a delightfully smooth bourbon sporting notes of chestnut, and it’s crafted with a sense of dedication that can only come when you know you’re making something truly special," according to the team at 35 Maple Street Spirits, which is based in Sonoma, California.
Michter's 20 Year Old Bourbon
$1,192.49
This 20 Year old Bourbon is especially rare, bottled at 57.1%, we only received 2 bottles in the initial shipment. We're hoping to get more soon. From the Distillery: "While we regularly sample all our Michter’s barrels to see how our whiskey is aging, we pay even extra special attention to our barrels once they are over 17 years old. At Michter’s we consider 17 to 20 years the “Fork In The Road Point” when certain barrels of whiskey can achieve an extraordinary level of quality. It is these particular barrels that our Master Distiller Willie Pratt personally selects for our very limited bottling of Michter’s 20 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon." Distiller's Tasting Note: "Intense notes of black cherry, rich molasses, honeysuckle, roasted pecans, toasted charred oak."

Hudson Baby Bourbon
$69.99
Tuthilltown is the first distillery in New York to produce whiskey since prohibition, and their Baby Bourbon is made from ingredients sourced within 10 miles of the distillery. The Baby Bourbon is matured in signature small barrels. "Small barrels mean more wood contact, which accounts for its rich, oaky, smoky flavor profile. We never charcoal or chill filter our bourbon, giving you a full-flavor experience."
