Stranahan's is America's answer to Edradour, filling three barrels a week. Bottlings are done in carefully selected batches of 6 barrels. Made from malted barley a little more than 2 years of age. Tasting notes: Nose: creamy and soft, surprisingly some corn and rye notes where there should be none, cold buttered toast. Palate: loads of spices, hoppy beer notes, oily rye-like qualities and burnt ginger. Finish: malt notes make an appearance, finishes like a Czech style Pilsner!
