Glenlivet Nadurra
$87.99
It's always fun to see the big brands release a whisky geared more toward the afficionado (errr...whisky geek) than the masses. Nadurra takes the iconic Glenlivet flavour profile - stone fruits, apples, pears, soft spices - and jacks it up to 59.1%. It's also natural colour, non chill-filtered, and small batched. Small batched by Glenlivet standards, anyway.
Batch FF1120 was matured in First Fill American White Oak Casks.
Glenmorangie Cask 237
$1,314.99
Less than a handful of these bottles found their way to KWM, from a single 21 year single cask of Glenmorangie, hand selected by Dr. Bill Lumsden! Bottled at 56.6% after maturing 8 years in bourbon casks and then 13 years further in a single Château Roubine Provence Red Wine cask.
Producer Tasting Note
Aroma: Richly rounded and sweet. Turkish delight fills the nose, entwined with baked peaches, vanilla and candle wax. Then come contrasting depths of toffee, clove and oak. With water, top notes of green peppers and tomato leaves shine through, alongside more oak spice, chocolate and a suggestion of polished mahogany.
Taste: Dry, peppery textures are followed by the zestiness of Seville orange and lemon curd, set against aniseed’s intensity, more clove and toffee.
Finish: Gentle and fruity, brimming with Glenmorangie’s signature notes of peach, vanilla and coconut.

Glenmorangie A Tale of Cake
$123.99
SOLD OUT
A new limited edition fron Glenmorangie, "A Tale of Cake" was created by finishing whiskies matured in ex-Bourbon Barrels in Tokaji dessert wine casks from Hungary. The whisky was inspired by Dr. Bill Lumsden realization that most of his joyful memories are connected to cake. Bottled at 46%.
Producer Description
"Some time ago, our Director of Whisky Creation, Dr Bill, found himself musing over how some of his most joyful memories came from cake — from the pineapple upside down cake his daughter made for his birthday to baking with his Granny in her kitchen. He devised this whisky to conjure the magic of a cake moment, finishing his favourite Glenmorangie Single Malt in the finest Tokaji dessert wine casks. The liquid is a rich copper, but the taste is pure technicolour, luscious, sweet and complex with multi-layered bursts of honey, white chocolate and fruits with a lilting hint of mint. As you might expect, it tastes incredible when enjoyed with actual cake."
Producer Tasting Note
Nose: Complex, rich and multi-layered, with a burst of passion fruit, peach, pear, mango. More savoury notes like baking bread, gentle sappy oak and a curious, flinty minerality emerge. This is then followed by classic Glenmorangie notes like honeycomb, vanilla and almond, with a hint of milk chocolate.
With a splash of water, more zesty notes emerge, like apricot, elderflower, flowering currents, honey pollen and peach syrup.
Palate: The mouthfeel is surprisingly luscious and tart at the same time, leading into a burst of sweet, cake-like – honey, white chocolate, apricot, almond, vanilla and pear. This is balanced by a hint of tangy orange and menthol, both classic Glenmorangie flavours.
Finish: The lingering aftertaste again reminds you of a delicious combination of honeycomb, chocolate almond and pecan nuts.
