Our 13th KWM exclusive single cask of Arran (16th if you count a couple of shared bottlings with a local club,) was filled into a Sherry Butt Cask #930 on the 14th of May 2013, and was bottled after 9 years on March 7, 2023, at 58.2%. We've bottled lots of Sherry Hoggies of Arran, but I think this is our first ever Butt, and there are 516 total bottles!

Nose: deep, rich, and earthy with dried fruits and festive spices; dark milk chocolate infused with pink peppercorns, soft new leather driving gloves, and Fruit by the Foot; Christmas Cake, sticky toffee pudding, and caramel chews; warm cinnamon-spiced apple cider, fennel seeds, and clove;
Palate: dark, rich, and sherried with bags of sweet fruits and spices; more Christmas cake, sticky toffee pudding with treacle sauce, and churros; more spicy dark milk chocolate, chewy caramels, candied fennel seeds, and soft Aussie licorice; building festive spices, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and star anise; grilled figs, cooked raisins, baked apple, and more, much more... leather, tobacco, and earthy dunnage warehouse notes.
Finish: warming, spicy, and toasty with a fine balance of fruits, spices, sherry, and earthy warehouse notes.
Comment: a classic young sherry bomb, but with a finesse of a much older malt; big, rich, spicy, and fruity, with lots of layers; as my friend Jane would say, a rather moreish dram!
Evan’s Tasting Note
Nose: Christmas cake, toffee, raisins, gingerbread, orange peel oils, date squares, roasted almonds and peanuts, and a touch of cinnamon.
Palate: Oily, spicy, mouth-coating, and sweet with more toffee, milk chocolate, raisins, ginger, mulled apple cider, strawberry jam, and hazelnuts.
Finish: Long and sweet with plenty of butterscotch and fruit sticking around.
Comment: It’s a festive holiday dram! I would usually worry about saying that about a whisky in case, we are still selling it in the summertime. Arran always makes me feel festive, though.

This 2009 Inchgower was matured in an ex-Oloroso sherry cask for 13 years, before bottling at 54.2% exclusively for Kensington Wine Market.

Our first-ever store-exclusive cask of Kavalan is a Solist Oloroso Sherry cask, S1705181510, to be specific. It was bottled at 52.4% after 6 years and two months in cask. We haven't seen much of the Solist Oloroso Sherry expression in recent years, so we asked if they'd consider sending us a few samples so we could bottle our own cask. They did, and one of them stood head and shoulders above the other... so naturally we had to have it!
Hot climate maturation supercharges aging process, and also the angels share. So there are only 205 total bottles. Get em while they're hot!

Our 7th KWM exclusive Compass Box, and 5th "Marrying Cask," is a bottling of the Glasgow Blend, finished in an ex-Clynelish, ex-Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cask for roughly 1 year, bottled at 49%. Married: June 16, 2022, bottled: July 2023.
The Compass Box Glasgow Blend, is the firm sherried and peated blend, inspired by the type of whiskies Glasweigans used to prefer 100 years ago. This batch of this malt-heavy Blasgow Blend (before marrying) was 35.2% 10 year old Cameronbridge from First Fill exBourbon, 34.1% 10 year old Craigellachie from sherry casks, 18.2% 8 year old Laphroaig from Refill Bourbon, 9.9% 9 year old Clynelish from First Fill ex-Bourbon, and 2.6% Highland Blended Malt from French oak.

Gordon & Macphail continues to tee up amazing single casks for us. This 16 year old Glentauchers is from a Refill ex-Bourbon Barrel, bottled at 58.8%.
