Only 12 miles from Glasgow, and although a Highland by definition, these whiskies are known for a more Lowland style due to the use of unpeated malt. Also unique is the choice of sherry used for cask finishing. Instead of the more common olorosso wood, Glengoyne uses predominately palo cortado, resulting in more nutty flavors. This version has a light nose, and is creamy smooth with notes of vanilla.

At 47.8% this 24 year old is rich with vanilla, lemon curd and honey, this whisky is gently balanced with intriguing depth, bright lemon and key lime pie. Honeycomb and soft oak warms the palate giving way to a long and well aged finish of delicate citrus and lingering oak. This is a limited release that will not return once sold out. Bottled at 59.2%, Batch 008 of the Glengoyne Cask Strength and was created from whiskies matured in 29% First-Fill Sherry casks, 16% First Fill Bourbon barrels, and 55% Refill casks.
