The Company was founded in the 1978 by brothers Lodovico, Lorenzo, Giordano and Ruggero Manzini. The farm covers more than 25 hectares, 10 of which are located on hills and cultivated to vineyard. Today, the Manzini's farm remains the same and all the grapes used for their Lambrusco come from the vineyards of their property. As a result of expert pruning and picking they end up with high quality grapes suitable for DOC wines. Their dry, delightfully fruity Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOC is the pearl of their company, to which the family dedicate their greatest attention. Producing exceptional hand crafted DOC Lambrusco is an elaborate process and every member of the family has a specific role. The Speri Winery, whose story begins in the first half of the 1800s, has now entered its seventh generation. It makes wine from about 60 hectares of vineyards in the most select Valpolicella Classica areas. In 2015, after practicing years of sustainable farming, the winery achieved organic certification for all of its production.
