An exploration into the rich winemaking history of South Tyrol, Rottenstiner's Lagrein Riserva has elegance to spare. The sedimentary soils irrigated by the Talfer River passing through the vineyards near Bolzano allow for the native Lagrein grapes to flourish. After fermentation, the wine is matured in large wooden barrels to further develop texture and complexity.

Viña Mayu was established in 2005 in the Elqui Valley, the first fine wine producer to enter the wine business since 1998. Mauro Olivier was one of the pioneers, planting vines for fine wine production and sourcing grapes from the different vineyards in the valley. He started working on his family vineyards for table grape production at a young age; years later he began working in Pisco production (the national Chilean spirit, made from white wine). In 2000, he planted the first Carménère and Syrah vines in the valley. 5 years later, in 2005, he decided it was time to embark on his own wine project, under Mayu label. Mayu is an ancient INCA name for the Milky Way, literally meaning "creek of stars." The region lies 400 km (250 mi) north of Santiago, at the southern end of the Atacama Desert in the Coquimbo region, and rises to 2000 metres above sea level. These are great value wines produced from what is effectively a high- altitude desert. The hot arid climate allows for good ripening while the cold desert nights help preserve acidity.

The individual site names are: Bürgergarten, Herrenletten, Herzog, Mandelring, Mandelgarten, Schlössel and Vogelsang. All the estate´s single sites are classified by the VDP. Alvarelhão is a very old variety (classified in 1790), which today is planted mainly in the north of the Vinho Verde region, especially in the sub-region of Monção and Melgaço, where it has always been part of the red wine scene. The grapes used for this sparkling wine come from small plots of vines in Monção and Melgaço. They are rooted in granite soils, and are grapes that reach a perfect balance with the help of the mountainous group that surrounds this sub-region. Azienda Agricola La Torre is located near Sant'Angelo in Colle, in the southern part of the Montalcino municipality. The first La Torre Brunello di Montalcino was the 1982 Brunello, which appeared on the market in 1987, eleven years after the estate was purchased. The estate is 36 hectares in size, 5.6 hectares of which is planted as vineyards. The winery produces Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Ampelio, Rosso Toscano and, in outstanding years, Brunello Riserva. The winery operates on a traditional basis, although its practices respond to developments in know-how and environmental protection. Tradition is never forgotten, and recently-abandoned procedures and practices are given due consideration alongside innovations provided by scientific research.

The Champagnes from father-daughter duo Arnaud & Mathilde Margaine are a KWM exclusive, and they are exceptional. With vineyards based in Montagne de Reims, they specialize in Chardonnay (90%) although they also have a small plot of Pinot Noir. This small estate (7 hectares) was started by Arnaud's father (Bernard) in the 1950s and is organically farmed. The vines average 35 years of age and the Chardonnay is produced from a clone unique to the area.
