Glenlivet 18 Year
$199.99
Matured in a mix of first and second fill ex-American oak and ex-Sherry casks. Bottled after 18 years at 40%.
Producer Tasting Note
Nose: Rich fruit, toffee.
Palate: Balanced, bursts of sweet orange.
Finish: Long, with raisins and spice.
Producer Description
"Over the course of 18 years our Master Distiller, Alan Winchester, takes this expression through a combination of cask types, including both first and second-fill American oak (for tropical fruitiness) and ex-sherry oak (for spicy complexity). The result of this deft navigation of the distilling arts is a gorgeous single malt that is complex, yet elegant and balanced. The 18 Year Old has won more awards than any other expression; every bottle is a true example of the quality and taste of The Glenlivet. Any bottle deserves pride of place in your cabinet… perhaps to be held back for a fitting occasion? It is, after all, crafted to impress."

Tamnavulin Double Cask
$58.99
Relatively speaking, Tamnavulin is a baby. The distillery was only founded in 1966, and a core range wasn't even a twinkle in the owners' eyes until just a couple years ago. It's almost certain that most of Tamnavulin's production, even today, finds its way into the Whyte & MacKay family of blends. It's a shame really, as the distillate is good. While it would be nice to see the range expanded to include some higher age statement expressions...baby steps; we're just happy to see it finally being made available.

High Coast Hav Single Malt
$95.99
Bottled at 48% after 5 Years in a mix of ex-Bourbon, Sweedish & Hungarian Oak, this Swedish single malt was lightly peated.
Producer Description
"Hav is the Swedish word for Sea. In the majestic landscape of a world heritage site, High Coast Distillery sits where the beautiful river Ångermanälven merges into the sea. Here, the river is just about to reach the coast and slowly disappear out into the world, just like our single malt whisky. The message Hav brings to the world is an expression of oak, with a touch of spice and a little northern hardiness."

From The Producer
"Älv is the Swedish word for River. Outside our front door runs the beautiful river Ångermanälven, the heart of the High Coast region and essential to our distillery. We are able to make such elegant whisky thanks to the naturally cold, crystal clear water sourced from the river. Älv — a well-balanced soft single malt with vanilla tones. Älv is our most elegant whisky."
