GlenAllachie Meikle Toir The Sherry One
$91.99
‘Meikle Tòir‘ (big pursuit) is GlenAllachie's heavily peated Speyside single malt. The Sherry One is a five year old made with malt peated to 35ppm and fermented for a very long 160 hours. The spirit was initially matured in ex-Bourbon Barrels, before finishing in PX and Oloroso Sherry Puncheons. 48%.
Producer Description
"Guided by revered Master Distiller, Billy Walker, our team is on a ‘Meikle Tòir‘ (meaning ‘big pursuit’). The goal: to carefully craft and cask-perfect a peerless peated single malt at our Speyside home, The GlenAllachie Distillery.
"Expertly matured in quality Pedro Ximénez & Oloroso Sherry puncheons, the casks have imparted rich, fruity notes that mingle harmoniously with warming wisps of peat smoke. Made using mainland peat from St. Fergus, the sweet phenolic content of the whisky amounts to 35 PPM. A lengthy fermentation period of 160 hours results in a fruit-forward spirit"

Arran Signature Ed.2 Barrel Bonfire
$134.99
The 2nd Edition in The Signature Series from Arran, which is planned to span four releases in total. Barrel Bonfire showcases and embraces the Lochranza Distillery's batches of peated spirit. The 42ppm malt was distilled in and filled into ex-Bourbon Barrels in 2012. It was transferred into ex-Koval Distillery quarter casks that previously matured Bourbon in September of 2018. The result was bottled in early 2024 at 50% ABV.
Producer Description
"Over the course of the secondary maturation, the intensity of the heavily peated whisky has taken on an even more complex and full-bodied character. The smaller the size of cask, the greater the surface contact area between the wood and the spirit, effectively creating an environment for ‘express’ maturation. The resulting whisky has the benefit of more intense flavours which add depth and greater nuance to the final dram. Smokier notes mingle with the well-loved charred citrus and sweet vanilla spices of Arran Single Malt, evoking a bonfire made from barrel staves."

Clermont Steep American Single Malt

Bottled at 47%, this is Jim Beam's first foray into the American Single Malt Whiskey category. Freddie Noe, the master distiller known Little Book series and the famous Booker Noe's grandson, is responsible for this 5 Year Old Single Malt.
Producer Description
"We took almost a decade to develop Clermont Steep, our first American Single Malt Whiskey. In a new-to-world, fast growing category, Freddie Noe started this experiment like he does with everything: right at home. Freddie reminisced about baking bread with his Granddaddy. There’s nostalgia in every sip of this category-defining liquid.
He started with a combination of Distiller’s barley and gold pilsner barley, and our trademark jug yeast to create the base of what would become our first ever American Single Malt whiskey. He then made an innovative, category-leading choice to age the barrels in a level 1 charred, new oak barrel to create a perfect environment to age our liquid. After 5 years, he had created a masterpiece that would make his grandaddy proud."
