Amber Meadow is the third release in Macallan's Harmony Series, Apparently not related in any way to our KWM Whisky staff Harmony (or so they SAY), this whisky was created in collaboration with Stella and Mary McCartney "to celebrate the lush, fertile lands of Scotland that connect all those who have stood upon them for generations."
Still not sure why they didn't collaborate with Harmony directly. Bottled at 44.2%.

We actually don’t know, and despite finding a few possibilities, we’re really not certain… Our label brings the whole Whisky Team together (at the time when we briefed this label!) It’s starts with Toby whispering the distillery name to the team through a children’s game of broken telephone and finishing with our artist, Emily, with her finger over her lips. This bad boy is one of the big ones. One of the six apex malts in the range. A 56-year-old single Sherry Butt of what is unquestionably a once-in-a-lifetime dram from Glen Grant that had an outurn of a mere 100 bottles. 92.0pts on Whiskybase

Over the many years we’ve been searching for casks, we have, on occasion, been fortunate to find those truly rare occurrences of whiskies of great age that retain great elegance.This Glen Grant, distilled on Speyside in 1965, fits the bill perfectly: the beautiful light fruit of the spirit, the suggestion of forest floor, dusty books...an abundance of sophisticated flavours that are created only after decades in the finest wood.”
