Paul John Mithuna Single Malt 58%
$259.99
For all of you Gemini's out there! Or, for all of us whisky lovers. No need to discriminate. The unpeated Mithuna release from Paul John is bottled at 58% ABV, and is part of the distillery's Zodiac series. Mithuna is the Indian counterpart to the Gemini zodiac sign.
Producer Description
"Unpeated. Non chill-filtered. Matured in American virgin oak casks and finished in ex-bourbon casks.
Hues of old oak and sophisticated aromas of liquorice with gentle beeswax lead to a luxuriant delivery of ulmo honey on crisp toast, and tender notes of vanilla. Chewy flavours of coffee mocha, orange peel and delicate spice float on active tannins while gentle oils enjoy gists of dark cocoa tones. The finish is gratifyingly long and complex with multi-toned sugars and delicate honeys.
Renowned for contradictive strengths, the characteristics of Gemini are epitomized by this Indian single malt as mesmerizing layers of austere, dry tannins are challenged in equal measure by resplendent sugars and mocha on delicate oils."

Producer Description
"The Reach single malt Scotch whisky was drawn from a single cask in which it has matured for the past 81 years. Its peaceful existence contrasts the turbulent time when it was distilled in 1940. Slowly maturing over eight decades, its triumphant release allows us, in the present age, to reach back in history to that difficult time.
While the deep auburn liquid has a gentle smoothness, in keeping with The Macallan’s signature taste, the complexity of its profile offers an array of flavours. There is a rich, sweet smokiness, attributable to the peat used when malting the barley and firing the stills during this period in time. The smoky note is subtle but unmistakable, complemented with antique oak."
