The "Inaugural Release" of Strathearn is the first official bottling of the whisky, at least since Douglas Laing took it over in 2019. The distillery bills itself as one of Scotland's smallest, focused more of flavour than yeild. The whisky has been bottled at 50% after maturing in a mix of Bourbon, Sherry, and Virgin oak casks for an average of 7 years.

This blend boasts a high malt content (47%) primarily GlenAllachie and peated Islay single malt. After blending the whisky was married and further matured in a PX, Oloroso, and virgin oak casks before bottling. Bottled at 48% ABV.
Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish

Fully matured in a relatively light touch old ex-sherry hogshead, the result is super fresh, fruity and focussed on that mature refill style. Very much our kind of dram and our preferred style of Tomatin.
