They're one of the true vanguard protecting the legacy of sherry maturation in the Scotch whisky world and, sadly, there seems to be fewer and fewer distilleries able to produce in this style with each passing year. In short, we're pretty fortunate Tamdhu is holding standards high. To say we were excited for the arrival of the 18-year-old is an understatement. This one has been on our radar since first whispers made it over here. Hate to do it, but we've gotta limit this one to one-per-(customer/family/household) for now.

Using a higher proportion of Orkney peated malt, our Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, has achieved an intensely smoky character, coming through first on the nose with aromas of smouldering peat and lightly charred oak, balanced by honey-glazed lemons and crushed aniseed.
