Dumangin Whisky Benrinnes 2008
$159.99
Gilles Dumangin doesn't make things easy on himself when he wraps his whiskies in wine. He has a habit of stacking the deck against himself by picking distilleries that boast some of the most challenging profiles in all of Scotch Whisky: Benrinnes, Ardmore, Fettercairn, Craigellachie. These aren't exactly the most mild-mannered of malts. It's a testament to the man's craft. I love the whole 'if you're going to swing, swing for the fences' mentality.
This Benrinnes spent 10 years in a Refill Hogshead before 23 months in Ratafia Champenois.
347 bottles. Natural colour and non-chill-filtered. 48%

The 25-year-old Arran is now part of the Lochranza Distillery's core range, though a very limited part of it. Currently an annual release, only 3000 bottles are available world-wide. It was matured in a combination of ex-Sherry and Ex-Bourbon casks which were filled in the distillery's first few years of operation. 46% ABV. We have a mix of 2023 and 2024 botltings. Mostly the latter.
Producer Description

We hope that you will continue to join us in celebrating our whisky and Lochranza Distillery as the years continue to go by, and we celebrate each year with a new release of our oldest Single Malt.
Here’s to 25 years of making great Arran Single Malt!"
Boutique-y 10 Year American Bourbon
$104.99
10 year old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, at 45.8%.
That Boutique-Y Whisky Company seems to have a fixation with placing hooved animals on their labels right now. Whisky from Scotland often gets a deer on the front. Irish Whiskey is denoted by a horse. Canadian Whisky gets a moose. This American Bourbon gets a bison... or is that a buffalo?
Could this Buffalo be a hint, allowing us to Trace the providence of this whiskey? Who knows... Maybe it is actually a red herring.
Producer Description
"Stampeding it’s way straight from Kentucky, here comes TBWC’s American addition to its “Core” range, bearing a 10 year old age statement, and a bison,
"Our 10 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a true reflection of Kentucky tradition, distilled from a classic corn-forward mash bill (77% corn) and aged in deeply charred American oak barrels. Layers of vanilla, dark toffee, and toasted pecans are complemented by warm baking spices and a touch of leather, leading to a velvety, well-rounded finish."
MoM Elbows Up 24 Year Canadian Whisky
$139.99
Bottled at 67%, a nod to Canadian Confederation, this 24 year old whisky is from a 2001 vintage parcel of Canadian Corn Whisky from Refill Sherry.
Sam Simmons, the Head of Whisky at Atom Brands (including Master of Malt), is a proud Canadian. He released this for Canada Day in the UK, but it is only arriving on our fair shores now!
“Canada has a long history of whisky-making and Canadian companies played a pivotal role in the history of Scotch whisky in the 20th century, but this whisky is a reaction to a particular moment in our history: Now."
"The words of a particular global leader have shocked many, scared no one, and only strengthened Canadian pride and bonds with its global community. This is just a modest gesture to display that a people, like a whisky, needn’t be big, loud and aggressive to be strong and enviable."
