"Spring equinox" is the quintessential marriage of two great traditions: beer brewing in Scotland and maple syrup production in Quebec. A Maple Scotch Ale is brewed only once a year in January and aged for two months in order to attain a perfect balance in taste. Aroma and taste of woody, malty flavours, sustained by a discrete touch of sweetness. The aftertaste brings about the flavours of maple and the typical flavours of a Scotch Ale.

Pike Double IPA is a golden hued beauty in the glass. Weighing in at 8% alcohol and 80+ IBUs, it is strong yet balanced. It features Columbus; Chinook; Centennial; Cascade; and Amarillo hops - and is dry hopped with Amarillo and Columbus giving the beer a wonderful aromatic nose. Nose of fruity hops (orange, apricots, etc). Hops flavour is refreshing with rich tropical fruit, oranges and apricots.

The vineyards, situated in the Gros de Montpellier terroir that lie halfway up the slope between the Mediteranean and the mountains of the Languedoc, have been the property of the Serviere family since 1830. Well, history is nice but what about now? We can tell you that the Serviere familiy also makes delicious Viognier. This one has a lovely fragrant nose reminiscent of small honeyed flowers. Lush with a nice oily mouth-feel. Nice lift of banana and citrus.

Nikka's venerated from the Barrel has been a staple of our whisky shelves for years and will hopefully remain so. This creation from Nikka is a blend of grain and malt from multiple distilleries owned by the company. It is always bottled at 51.4% ABV after the components are married in refill casks for up to half a year to marry together and become a cohesive whole.

Dieu Du Ciel Rigor Mortis ABT single

Pours a hazy brown with a tan head, nose is malt, brown sugar, fig, tart cherry & some funk. The taste is intense with malt & sweet flavours of chocolate and caramel and very little bitterness in the finish. Rigor Mortis is a complex beer designed and brewed in the tradition of the great Belgian Abbey beers. Abt is the name given to ultra-strong Trappist and abbey ales. The name Abt was pioneered to describe Westvleteren and St. Bernardus. Abts are darker than Quads, with more rich, deep fruity notes. Both are strong, malty and are bottle-conditioned, but abts trend more towards yeastiness.
