This special 10 Year Old Barbados rum was distilled at West Indies Rum Distillery. It spent 4 years aging in Bourbon casks followed by a further 5 and a half years of maturation in Cognac Ferrand Casks. It was then finished for 4 months in ex-Oloroso Sherry Casks. This is specifically from Cask number 16, which is bottled at 49.3%.

Nose : Under heavy sherry influence with walnut, pipe tobacco, coffee, plum and caramel, evolving towards vanilla, banana and coconut

This Guatemalan is a hand selected batch celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Rum Nation as an independent bottler. The rum is made from sugarcane molasses distilled in a column still. The youngest rum in the batch is four years old, and it all was matured in ex-Bourbon barrels resting in warehouses near the Hondo river in Southern Guatemala. The rum was then transferrred to sherry casks (Oloroso and PX) for a further 16 months in Italy before being bottled. 40%

About Ron Millonario
In 1904, in northern Peru, the Hacienda Agrícola de Chiclayo was founded in Chiclayo, a small settlement between the sea and the mountains known as the ‘city of friendship.
Here, a group of farmers united to trade their sugar, and to this purpose they built, at great personal sacrifice, a small refinery. The Hacienda was purchased in 1922, the family of Peruvian landowners Piera de Castillo, with Don Rolando at the helm. In 1950, some years after the purchase of a Scottish column still, Ron Millonario was officially born.
The rum was the fruit of hard work, but since few could afford to sample it, it acquired the name “por los millonarios”, in acknowledgement of that exclusive club of individuals wealthy enough to buy the spirit and enjoy its unique charm.
In search of new products, Fabio Rossi landed in Peru in 2004, and discovered a warm, rich product that was a pleasure to drink. He had stumbled upon a genuine treasure of Peru.
ense", the Cincuenta is a higher strength versino of the 10th Anniversary Reserva. It is bottled at 50% ABV versus the 40% of the Reserva, but beyond that it is similar in makeup. The Cincuenta is a combination of rums mostly matured in ex-Bourbon plus some older stock aged in ex-Sherry casks.
