This Guatemalan is a hand selected batch celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Rum Nation as an independent bottler. The rum is made from sugarcane molasses distilled in a column still. The youngest rum in the batch is four years old, and it all was matured in ex-Bourbon barrels resting in warehouses near the Hondo river in Southern Guatemala. The rum was then transferrred to sherry casks (Oloroso and PX) for a further 16 months in Italy before being bottled. 40%

A new captivating packaging and a precious decanter, colourful and lively, for the new and improved release of our sweet and soft Panama rum aged for 18 years. The richness of sugar cane and the finesse of Spanish style distillation give life to a light-bodied rum with a great aromatic complexity, caressing and easy to drink, rich on tropical fruits, dates and chocolate. A slightly winey touch and a hint of orange peel give fragrance and freshness to the sweetness of the rum.

"Black Tot Day 2022 marks the third iteration of our annual Master Blender’s Reserve, an ever-evolving perpetual blend crafted by our Master Blender, Oliver Chilton.
For this year’s blend, we drew inspiration from historical rums in our collection and the unique flavour profiles they exhibited over half a century ago. These rums, since lost in the rum world, were rich with notes of baked banana, dusty chocolate, mocha milkshakes, honey, tobacco, leather, liquorice, and spice. These flavours were mapped out and became our guide."

"High quality molasse rum, fermented and distilled in traditionnal column. Once distilled, the rum is transported to the North-West of Guatemala, then transferred into old bourbon casks at 180m altitude above the sea. This rum is aged for 4 years above the Hondo river, where humidity allows to slow down the ageing process, in an almost tropical climate region. One of the lightest rums in our selection, with a pleasantly sweet touch in the Latin style but without ever becoming too sugary"
