Einaudi Dolcetto Dogliani
$39.99
Dolcettos are a good value for those who love Italian wines. They're the gentler, softer cousins to Piedmont's better-known (at least in Canada) and pricier Barberas and Barolos. Just like Barolo and Barbera, though, Dolcetto makes great food wines. Luigi Einaudi is the producer behind this label; he has a solid international reputation for high-quality, easy-to-drink red wines.

$43.99

Despite its growth, the winery has maintained its profound respect for tradition while incorporating innovative processes and a commitment to its environment, with environmentally sustainable viticulture and excellent quality wines.
Chateau Beychevelle 2022
$221.99
The 2022 Beychevelle has a succinct bouquet with wonderful precision and focus, pure black fruit, black olive compote and subtle tobacco scents. It unfurls with aeration yet doesn't want to give too much away. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins. There is a newfound sense of clarity that lifts this 2022 above recent vintages. This is unequivocally one of the most elegant Beychevelles on the finish, and it lingers temptingly in the mouth. It’s a benchmark wine for this Saint-Julien.
Neal Martin (Vinous): 95-97/100 ("Satin-like in texture... one not to be overlooked").
Mayu Pedro Ximenez
$19.99
This may be the only Pedro Ximenez grown in Chile, and it's unclear if it's the same PX as in Spain (responsible for the sweet style of Sherry). The vines are grown on decomposed granite, quartz-rich soils, and might be the highest vineyard in Chile. Unlike the Spanish versions, the wine is fermented fully dry, and the wines tend to keep good freshness and moderate alcohol. It offers appealing floral and fruit aromas, with flavours balanced by fresh acidity, minerality and a long finish. It would be great with shellfish, paella and other seafood.
Huber Altze Setzen Gruner Veltliner
$47.99
In just a few years, Markus Huber has successfully established his winery as a showcase enterprise in Austria as a wine-producing country. His distinctive, top-quality wines, grown on outstanding soils of lime and conglomerate, serve as an example of the very best of the Traisental Valley – full of character, clear in style and site-related minerality. The family’s highest priority is to work without compromise in the vineyards and in the cellar for premium quality. The vineyards are cultivated according to organic guidelines, and the entire winery is certified according to the “Sustainable Austria” criteria.
Haritz Blanco Viura
$24.99
Benetakoa Winery was founded in 1985 by Carlos Martínez de Cañas in Villabuena de Álava. Viticulture has been a centuries-old tradition in their family, and for several generations, they have dedicated themselves to pampering and learning from the land and the vine. In 1997, they expanded their facilities and moved to a new winery built in the upper part of Villabuena. They preserved the tradition and the artisan concept that was incorporated into the first winery, and continued with innovation as the basis of their wines. Since 2001, Gorka Martínez de Cañas, son of the winery’s founder, has taken charge of the family project.
Usseglio Rose
$29.99
Domaine Raymond Usseglio is a family domaine, created in 1948 by Françis Usseglio, who originally hailed from Italy. They traditionally develop their range of wines, with many of their vines being more than 65 years of age. Usseglio always performs manual harvesting with selective sorting, and all of their wines are certified biodynamic by Demeter. This rosé, with a dominant blend of cinsault (and 10% mourvedre) captivates with its freshness and aromatic profile of luscious fruit and lovely minerality. As an added bonus, they are certified biodynamic, which means it will protect you from werewolves when the moon is full.
Weinbach Les Vignes du Precheur
$61.99
At the foot of the majestic Schlossberg hill, surrounded by vines and roses, lies Domaine Weinbach. Named after the little stream that runs through the property, it has been planted with vines since the 18th century, with the winery itself having been established in 1612 by Capuchin friars. These vineyards, to this day surrounded by ancient walls, are specifically named Clos des Capucins. In addition to this, the estate’s history is well documented through the image of a monk which fittingly adorns their labels. After being sold as national property during the French Revolution, it was acquired by the Faller brothers in 1898 who then left it to their son and nephew, Théo. Théo Faller was a prominent figure in Alsace winegrowing and an ardent defender of quality wine production. He developed, expanded and enhanced Domaine Weinbach. In 1979, Colette -Théo’s wife-, Catherine, Laurence Faller and their team pursued the family’s passion for the great wines of Alsace and its unrelenting commitment to delivering excellence. In 1998, Domaine Weinbach began working in accordance with the principles of biodynamics on a total of 8 hectares. Since 2005, all the vineyards (28 hectares) have been worked according to biodynamic. Since 2016, Catherine has led the estate winery with her sons, Eddy and Théo.

From one of the top names in North American winemaking these days! Paul Hobbs is American but works across North and South America. The Cobos winery may be new, but the vines are not. The Malbec vines are 60 to 80 years which explains the wine's wonderful concentration. Felino is the entry level. Well made and very well priced.
