Part of the Contrasts range from Benromach Distillery, this bottling is one of a duo of limited editions focusing on two different ways of drying, or seasoning, the oak that is used to make the barrels. The Air Dried Oak - Virgin Oak Cask Matured was distilled in 2012 and put into oak barrels that were air-dried for three years before being used. This resulting whisky was bottled in 2023 after 10 years at 46%.

It was founded by Paul Currie, who was one of the co-founders of the Isle of Arran Distillery before that. This bottling is one of their Whiskymaker's Editions - which are one-off limited releases. This is the first bottling Lakes Single Malt Whisky to come to Canada. It was matured in a combination of ex-Sherry casks and ex-Malaga Wine casks.
