Ghost Rock Wines was established by Cate and Colin Arnold in 2001 on a run-down property just East of Devonport, with only a handful of vines. Fast forward to 2015, Cate and Colin’s son Justin and his wife Alicia joined the business, taking on full ownership in 2017. Justin and Alicia run the operation together, responsible for the winemaking and running of the Cellar Door and Eatery, respectively.

Therianthropy is the mythical process of shapeshifting, which is another way to view turning nature into wine. Therianthropy Wines is a small collaborative garagiste project launched in Creemore Hills in Niagara, Ontario, in late 2019, with David Eiberg as winemaker. The group of wine industry veterans source grapes from sustainable, organically farmed vineyards across Ontario for an adventurous set of low-intervention wines. All the ferments are natural, they don’t employ fining or filtration, and there are low to no sulphur additions throughout. They also finish their bottles with recyclable plant-based composite corks, and top with an organic beeswax button.

Our annual collab with ultra-pals at Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. is back, and of course, we went the distance with our shared love of a few small beers. Crafting a low-ABV hazy ain't easy, which meant we dug deep with some amazing next-level hop tech. Mosaic Cryo and Citra Quantum, in addition to Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Riwaka gave us maximum flavour without the usual hefty percentage. Fresh-picked white peaches and luscious cake batter ripples through our signature silky-smooth finish. It’s all the decadence you expect, zero compromise.

The origins of Drambuie date back to the 18th and early 19th centuries. After the Battle of Culoden (1746) Prince Charles Edward Stewart took refuge on the Isle of Skye with the Clan McKinnon. Legend has it that, in gratitude for their hospitality, he gave the recipe to the chief. The name comes from the phrase "An Dram Buidheach" which, in Scots Gaelic, means "the drink that satisfies." This scotch whisky liqueur is made from aged malt whisky, heather honey and a secret blend of herbs and spices. The flavour suggests saffron, honey, anise, nutmeg and herbs.

Tanqueray Gin was initially distilled in 1830 by Charles Tanqueray in the Bloomsbury district of London. Yet, despite its name, London Dry Gin is primarily produced in Scotland. London Dry Gin is made through double distillation of a neutral grain spirit with botanicals added during the second distillation. Key botanicals used to make Tanqueray are juniper, coriander and angelica root. Tanqueray is now made in Cameron Bridge, Scotland.

As the oldest continuously operating winery in the world, this estate has a strong historical legacy: Barone Ricasoli was largely responsible for creating the Chianti Classico demarcation in the 19th century, as well as serving as Prime Minister of Italy for a spell. Francesco Ricasoli today is the 32nd Barone and took the helm in 1993. Pairings include grilled chicken and steak or a robust red pasta sauce.
This is a juicy wine with blackberry aromas and flavors balanced by hints of earthy and savoury characteristics. The finish is long with a transition to tart cherry. This wine opens amazingly after the first glass.
