The Murray has long been one of our favorite pseudo-core range cask strength distillery bottlings. Its clean barley-forward profile stands in sharp contrast to many of its peers, whom we'll not mention here. A whisky of this calibre and execution is almost underpriced in today's climate.
Distilled in 2008, matured in First Fill American Oak, and bottled in 2021 at 56.1%. Natural colour and non chill-filtered.

As the name implies, this bottling is procured from a cooperative of Mescaleros and bottled under one label. Particularly, this bottling is their flagship release and serves as an introduction to the Mezcal Union range.
What is peculiar about this bottling is that it uses both Espadin and Cirial agave varietals to concoct the spirit. In contrast to most introduction bottlings which generally use only the more prominent Espadin agave varietal, this Union bottling offers a slightly more nuanced style of mezcal for their entry level.
Meinklang Graupert Pinot Gris

Made from biodynamic (organic) Pinot Gris grapes, the wine is aptly named 'Graupert' which translates to 'tangled' or 'wild', referring to the vines which are allowed to grow free and wild. Free-growing vines produce bunches with smaller grapes with less juice and thicker skins. This produces greater aromas, gives extra layers of complexity to the wine and even gives the wine its darker colour. This is not your usual Pinot Gris. Look for honey, pear and almond on the nose and a buttery, creamy texture with lively acidity, and fruity, mineral weight on the palate. Great with poultry, rabbit, port or vegetarian meals.
