Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: a surge of briny smoke, fresh squeezed lemons and thyme; round peated malt, sea salt, play-doh and burning brush.
Palate: very round, creamy and chewy, juicy orange, thick peated malt and Dutch licorice; reamed honey, more lemon juice, mescal, sea salt and play-doh; the brush smoke slowly builds.
Finish: barley sugars, clean smoke, vanilla cream, massive maritime tones, more Dutch licorice and tar.
Comment: young, but rich and layered; feisty but balanced.
The Whisky Agency Speyside Region 1998

Exclusive to Kensington Wine Market in Canada, this is a 17 year old mystery Speyside single malt, possibly Glenfarclas. It was matured in refill sherry wood for 17 years after being filled into cask in 1998. Only 264 bottles have been filled at 50.3%, with just a dozen coming to KWM.
Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: floral, spicy and toasty with loads of fruit; soft leather, Sunrype fruit bars and eating Eatmore chocolate bars in the sauna.
Palate: rich, fruity and leathery with rich tobacco and spices; Christmas cake, candied fruit and more condensced Sunrype fruit bars; more Eatmore and cedar with citrus and a tinge of smoke.
Finish: medium long, ctirus, leather, tobacco and dark spices; warming and tingly.
Comment: rich with some nice layers, another great Whisky Agency bottling.
The Whisky Agency Glen Keith 1996

Exclusive to KWM in Canada, a 19 year old Glen Keith distilled in 1996 and bottled at 51.6% from a Refill Hogshead cask. Only 237 bottles were produced and just 12 of them came to Canada.
Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: Manuka honey, chocolate-orange marzipan, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg; crisp biscuits, chewy malt and vanilla waffers; candied orange and carrot cake with cream cheese icing.
Palate: creamed cheese icing sugar on moist carrot cake with decadent but firm spices; more chocolate-orange marzipan, vanilla waffers, chewy malt and Manuka honey; wine gums and grape Hubba Bubba.
Finish: more grapey fruits, wine gums and carrot cake with cream cheese icing.
Comment: very elegant, fruity and layered; beautiful and balanced.

Exclusive to KWM in Canada, a 23 year old single cask of Auchentoshan distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2015 from a single Bourbon barrel at 52.0%. Only 134 bottles produced, with just 18 bottles coming to Canada.
Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: very toasty, crisp, floral and fresh with marzipan and wood spice; green grasses, geraniums, white chocolate and crystalized honey.
Palate: soft, creamy, floral and toasty with warm decadent spices and Demerara sugars; more vanilla and crystalized honey, French roast coffee, peaches in cream, cream soda, mangoes and melon with orange rinds.
Finish: long, coating, creamy and floral with more citrus, spices and tropical fruits.
Comment: a silky smooth, very layered and fruity Auchentoshan; this has summer, brunch and maybe breakfast all over it!

"Nose: this is very interesting, because it’s obviously the same distillate, only matured in more active American oak that added creaminess and ‘sexiness’, while filtering out the grassy and ‘tablety’ notes. So it feels a little less natural, and rather easier, which is not obligatorily a bad thing mind you. Let’s check it with water: we recreated the Cadenhead, with a bit more fruits, and a bit less limestone. Mouth (neat): we’re closer to the Cadenhead right from the start, with these massive grassy notes, and this bitterish lemony side. Zests and clay are ruling this baby! With water: lemon and lime all over the place. It’s a Auchentoshan that really hints at… some kind of blend of Bladnoch and Rosebank, perhaps? Finish: medium, on the same limy notes. Comments: one more point for more easiness, but we’re clearly in the same category." SGP:541 - 86 points.
