Crown Royal was created to celebrate King George VI's grand tour of Canada in 1939. A bottle of Crown Royal was placed in the Royal train to symbolize hardworking Canadian people. The Special Reserve was created in 1992 from top young whiskies, all carefully aged and then blended. Like other Crown Royal offerings, this one is made in Gimli, Manitoba. It features intense, warm aromas and flavours of chocolate, butterscotch and vanilla.

Forty Creek Small Batch Reserve is blended from a limited number of barrels that have been set-aside over the past 15 years due to their exceptional quality & taste profile. Some of these barrels were rye, some corn & some malted barley. The age of barrels ranges from 15 years to 6 years old. One thing they have in common – they were so outstanding that John chose to save them for something special. "Rich amber colour. Sweet toffee, nuts, and spice aromas.
