Made from MGP Distillery Rye - and that is a good thing! Doc Swinson's has started with the exceptional MGP 95% Rye mash bill and blended it together with MGP's 51% Rye mash bill. Both components are at least five years old before being married into the top row of the Solera system made from casks that previously held rum. The result is a unique take on an American Rye that went south to get a tan and enjoy a Planter's Punch or three!
With warehousing and blending done in Ferndale, Washington, Doc Swinson's is a bottler of sourced Bourbon and Rye Whiskies that are blended together in small (sometimes very small) batches and released under one of three ranges. The bottlings are categorized under Doc Swinson's Flagship, Exploratory, or Rare Release range. Like many independent bottlers of American Whiskey, the venerable MGP Distillery of Indiana seems to be a key component in many of Doc Swinson's releases.

Bottled by Bull Run Distillery of Portland, Oregon, the Carlton Straight Rye was bottled to celebrate the one year anniversary of their tasting room in Carlton, Oregon called the Bull Run Distillery Carlton Post. The distillery source is not specified on the bottle itself, but it is quite possibly MGP of Indian, which is known for its wonderful Rye recipes.

Redwood Empire's Emerald Giant Rye is bottled in California but given it's Mash Bill of 95% Rye and 5% Malted barley it is likely sourced from MGP's Distillery in Indiana. This is not a bad thing as this distillery is responsible for some of the best Rye Whiskey around. This bottle takes its name from a Redwood tree that goes by the same moniker. The tree is 359 feet tall and about 1180 years old. The Whiskey is a blend of 3-5 year old Rye Whiskey bottled at 45%.
Based in Sonoma County, Redwood Empire Whiskey was established in 1998. The company has made a bit of a name for itself with its finesse at blending whiskey from different sources. Redwood maintains a promise to plant a tree for every bottle of their Whiskey sold.

Lost Monarch is not just the name of this bottle of Whiskey from Sonoma County's Redwood Empire - it is also the name of the largest coastal Redwood tree. The tree itself is 321 feet tall. The Whiskey comes in a slightly smaller bottle and is a blend of Rye and Bourbon Whiskey between 3 and 12 years of age. Bottled at 45%.
