This is our 3rd exclusive single cask from Ardmore and our second Ardmore from Berry Bros. & Rudd. But it is our first BBR cask in their sexy new livery! Matured in an ex-Bourbon Barrel before bottling at 60.1%. We're working on the assumption it is a 12 year old... and we think the casks may have been used to mature whisky from a related Islay distillery... just saying! 211 total bottles.

Limit 2 Per Customer! Benromach is one of the KWM darling distilleries. We've been lucky enough to bottle a wee handful of bespoke casks - which are, of course, absolute stunners (in our most humble opinions, wink wink) - but even the distillery's more broadly available releases fall into a flavour band that just doesn't seem to exist much anymore. We love 'em, you love 'em, and it's only a matter of time before they're subject to the same availability issues as a couple other distilleries we'll not mention here.
From the folks at Benromach: "Cara Gold Malt is a limited release made using a combination of Cara Gold malted barley and our standard lightly peated malt. Matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, it offers perfumed and tropical fruit notes, leading to pepper and toasted malt with a hint of butterscotch, and a vibrant, sweet smoke finish."
Natural colour, non chill-filtered, and bottled at 46%.
