Glencraig is the name of a whisky produced at Glenburgie Distillery between 1956 and 1981, using a Lomond Still. This bottling from Signatory is from a single cask, Bourbon Barrel #4253, distilled in 1976 and bottled in 2017 at 40 years of age and 42.6%. 91pts Whisky Base. A sister cask, 1976 #4283 scored 89pts from Whisky Fun (tasting note below). Only 2 bottles are coming to KWM.

Cooper's Choice Kilnaughton Secret Islay

This mystery single malt is named for a locale on the south coast of Islay's Mull of Oa, which overlooks Kilnaughton Bay across from Port Ellen. Lots of speculation on where this whisky comes from, but the name has us thinking Ardbeg... Kilnaughton sounds awful similar to Kildalton, the famous ruined kirk just down the track from the distillery! Bottled at 53.5% after maturing in a Rioja Wine Cask from Spain. 88pts Whisky Base
Cooper's Choice Secret Lowland

We know not where from whence this whisky has come, but the reference to spring blossoms could be a nod to Auchentoshan. But that is purely speculation. Finished in a Marsala Cask before bottling at 57%.

This is our first ever exclusive single cask of Tormore, and when the whisky team originally sampled it, we knew we had to have it. Tormore is an underappreciated Speyside whisky, almost exclusively used in Blends. Our new cask, 20207, was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2021 at 50% after 25 years in a Hogshead cask.
Berry's Orkney Islands 2003 KWM Cask

This is our 4th single cask of Highland Park, from our friends at Berry Bros. & Rudd. They can't be quite so explicit about this as we can, but let's be honest, there are only 2 distilleries in the Orkneys, and production was all but non-existent at Scapa in the early 2000s. Any way, this cask was distilled on the mainland of the "Orkney" archipelago in 2003, filled into a Sherry Butt (Berry's Cask No.1), and matured for 17 years before bottling at 59.9% in 2021. It is almost 50% stronger than the Highland Park 18 Year, and about 15% cheaper... that and its awesome. Would we ever bottle it if it were not?!
