Silly Scotch was born from a unique tradition and, throughout the years, has grown into a reference beer for its particular style. Its lovely red colour with more than a hint of copper is hidden below a beige head. Its complex aromas breathe the scent of brioche accompanied by raisins, fruit jam and fresh raspberry. This is a generous, full-mouthed beer reminiscent of a liqueur. The initial, most striking impressions are those of honey and caramel. The flavours of prunes and roast malt come through in the finish. There is a refreshing aftertaste."

Ken and Marg Fielding, along with their son Curtis and his wife Heidi, opened the winery doors in 2005. Fielding Estate Winery quickly established its place alongside Niagara wineries as a warm, inviting place to relax and enjoy award-winning, small lot VQA wines.
The architecture of the winery is influenced by the Fielding’s northern Ontario roots in the Haliburton Highlands. Designed by renowned architect Andre D’Elia of Superkül, the contemporary Canadian design is inspired by elements only be found in nature – wood, stone and sunlight. With the natural finishes and earthy tones, the design allows all the facets of nature to become one.
Vineland Estates Unoaked Chardonnay

In 1979 Hermann Weis from the Mosel region of Germany purchased the farm from the Moyer Family. Mr. Weis was a nurseryman and a winemaker in Leiwen. His winery, known globally today, is operated by his son Nik and family and it is called St. Urbans-hof. Mr. Weis brought his own Riesling vines to Ontario to show local growers that premium, vinifera vines could survive in our climate. Mr. Weis developed his own clone 21 and his plans were to grow and sell his Riesling vines all across North America. He planted 40 acres of his vines in 1979 at the Moyer farm to show his faith. To honour his new vineyard he called the old Moyer farm, St. Urban Vineyard. In 1980 their site became a licensed winery and our first bottled wine was from the 1983 vintage which is when they officially became Vineland Estates Winery. The winery is now owned by Mr. Fred DeGasperis and the DeGasperis Family Trust. A number of great Toronto families are part of that trust and are owners to this day.
