The 2026 cask strength release is called "Heather", a reference to the Orkney peat which is primarily composed of heather. This is a fully peated Highland Park, made exclusively from floor malted/peated barley. Matured in American and European oak seasoned sherry casks, bottled at 63.6%.

"This devilishly delicious double O.O. dram for one of our friends at The Sindicate Club in Canada. A combination of a 1998 vintage Refill Hogshead which has been 'top dressed' with some Orkney malt from a 1999 vintage First Fill Sherry Butt. These two components were married together in the Refill Hoggie and the resulting heady brew was bottled with a few degrees of reduction at 53% to help bring balance to the final 17 year old malt. The result is a waxy and richly-peated example of Old Orkney, with some savoury, earthy richness from the subtle sherry influence. a whisky to make you go 'O.O.LALA!"

Highland Park, the northernmost of Scotland's distilleries, dates back to 1798. Definitely an island style with typical smokiness, but with elements of a classic single malt that include a smoothness, roundness and heather-honey accent all its own. Very capable of developing to great ages, the distillery is now making available some older vintages which display considerable depth and richness. Consistently one of the best single malts in the world. Heather & honey on the nose, w/ hints of sap, peat, smoke & fresh oak. Lightly salty on the palate with layers of flavor. Amazing finish.

This deliciously rich, dark, 8% a.b.v. beer is the first ale to be aged in malt whisky casks from Highland Park distillery with traceable casks and numbered bottles. Pours an opaque black with a thickly laced beige head. Sweet malty smell. Delicious, perfectly balanced, with flavours of dark chocolate, caramel and smokey wood cask flavour.
