High West Bourbon
$53.99
The American Prairie Bourbon takes its name from the American Prairie Reserve, which is a group attempting to create the largest wildlife reserve in mainland USA. This Straight Bourbon itself is composed of whisky sourced from multiple distilleries including the 75% Corn, 21% Rye and 4% Malted Barley Mashbill of MGP Distillery of Indiana, and a few other undisclosed Bourbons from other distilleries. The components between three and thirteen years of age before being blended together and bottled at 46% ABV.
From The Producer
"High West Distillery is passionate about the American West’s natural beauty. That’s why we want to raise awareness of one of the most fantastic projects of our time: the American Prairie Reserve in northeastern Montana. This is an amazing effort to assemble the largest wildlife reserve in the lower 48 states. When stepping onto the plains of American Prairie Reserve, it’s easy to imagine the landscape as Lewis and Clark and Native Americans saw it, with thundering herds of bison, racing bands of pronghorn antelope and prairie dog towns dotting the horizon. When complete, the Reserve will be approximately 5,000 square miles; larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Grand Teton National Parks combined. Go to americanprairie.org to learn how to visit and support this worthy cause."
Tears of Llorona Extra Anejo 1Litre
$484.99
One of the rarest and hardest to find tequilas in the world, The Tears of Llorona is an Extra Anejo, aged 5 years before bottling. Unusually, the tequila has been matured in ex-Scotch, Sherry and Brandy barrels. Bottled as 43% in a 1L bottle. Only 3 bottles at KWM!
From the Producer: "Tears of Llorona is an extra extra añejo tequila. It begins as 100% blue agaves from high volcanic slopes in Jalisco, where growth is slow. Master Tequilero Germán Gonzalez hand selects the agaves and has them harvested late, increasing their starch and sugars. The piñas are roasted slowly in the traditional way. His yeast is proprietary and fermentation is slow. Distillation is by copper pot still and barreling is at very high specific gravity. Tears is aged in three different barrels -- oak that has previously held scotch, sherry, and brandy -- and brought together in very small batches to create a complex fusion that is more like a cognac than a tequila. Germán then bottles at 43% specific gravity to balance the flavors. This results in a very high rate of osmotic loss - the “angel's tears” that are one reason for the name, Tears of Llorona."
The Story of Llorona: "The story of La Llorona, “The One Who Cries,” is one of faith and faithlessness, passionate love, and shocking loss. Llorona was a very beautiful Aztec princess, beloved by a Spanish conquistador. Alas, the Conquistador abandons her and in her madness and sorrow, she goes to the nearby lake and drowns their children and herself. La Llorona—the “weeping woman"—now haunts Mexico's lakes looking for children to steal. It is a story Germán heard many times as a child. And it was Llorona’s passionate tears that inspired Germán’s greatest creation."

About Blue Hanger Brand
"Blue Hanger is one of Berry Bros. & Rudd’s most beloved and distinctive whisky creations, bridging Georgian elegance with modern blending craft. Famous for his elegant dress sense and distinctive blue clothes, William “Blue” Hanger, 3rdLord Coleraine (1748–1794), became affectionately known in fashionable Georgian London circles as “Blue Hanger” and was considered one of the best-dressed men of his day — a true dandy — as well as a loyal patron of Berry Bros. & Rudd in the end of 18th century. Named in his honour, the whisky pays tribute to this famously stylish and devoted customer, celebrating one of Georgian London’s most impeccably dressed gentlemen.
"In honour of this stylish and discerning gentleman, Berry Bros. & Rudd later created a blended malt whisky bearing his name: Blue Hanger.
The first release appeared in the 1990s (originally in very small quantities), designed as a limited-edition blend of exceptional single malts, curated to appeal to whisky connoisseurs. Thereafter, each edition was different, crafted from unique cask combinations, making every batch distinct and collectible. Each edition of Blue Hanger is numbered (e.g., 6th, 7th, 10th Release, etc.), continuing Berry Bros. & Rudd’s tradition of small-batch, handcrafted blending. The whisky has become a cult favourite among enthusiasts who appreciate subtlety, balance, and historical connection."
Pegasus Bay Sauvignon Blanc
$40.99
Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon make terrific blending partners. The tart and cheek pinching characteristics of the Sauvignon are tamed by the round and mellow flavors of the Semillon generally increasing the richness of the wine. This white, from the Canterbury region of NZ, offers aromas of passionfruit, melon and gooseberry. These are supported by savoury hints of roast capsicum (pepper) and aubergine. It is rich and concentrated in the mouth but retains a tight-knit, refined structure with a zesty, dry, crisp finish. Enjoy this charmer with grilled prawns, pasta and seafood, or grilled oysters.
Pietradolce Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese
$41.99
A simply outstanding red wine from the slopes of Sicily's famous Mt. Etna. Look for berry notes and herbs on the palate, and hints of flowers on the nose. Here's what Robert Parker's Wine Advocate has to say about this winery: "Pietradolce is my new Etna darling. This estate has always been on my radar, but the wines have never tasted as good as they do now. Michele Faro and his team (winemaker Carlo Ferrini is a consultant) have made impressive leaps and bounds in quality - from the stunning historic vineyards they own to the immaculately designed gravity winery that is coated with slabs of volcanic stone. Construction was almost done when I visited the estate this spring. Located in Solicchiata on the northern side of the volcano, Pietradolce boasts some of the most beautiful vineyards I have ever seen. I cannot exaggerate this point."
