"The distillery blazed a new trail in the whisky world in 2002, by creating the first ever pure buckwheat whisky in the world. “Eddu” means “buckwheat” in the Breton Language. It's a huge commitment, as buckwheat is four times the price of corn, takes three times as long to mill and is heavy to mash."

"Yet another new label for our first ever back from Denmark’s Fary Lochan distillery. It’s a small family distillery, now run by three siblings, and their mother. The distillery is named after the lake on the plot and an ancient spelling of the town, Farre, it’s located in. Founder Jens-Erik Jorgensen, who sadly died in 2016, found inspiration from memories of smoked cheese from his mother used to smoke over fresh nettles. Jens-Erik made his first tests of smoking his whisky-malt with nettles in 2009."

"When we learnt that the distillery was located in the village of Farre (which was previously known as Fary) we had that far far away fairy tail image in our head, and so our label is based up on an old style fairy tale woodland glade and a small glistening lake."
