This unique gin will smell distinct right off the bat, and those who are familiar with Sake may pick up on it right away. Awamori is a rice based distillate similar to shochu, but drank mainly in Okinawa and a couple other countries, and is the base spirit for this gin. The fermented rice and koji are very noticeable as the base, and layered overtop are massive citrus notes, herbal green flavours, and hints of earthy black pepper.

Bunna 25 (or XXV, if you're hung on what the labels say) is an icon. It is unquestionably one of the most rich and elegant 25s on the market. Expect that salty oceanic tang we all know and love, but at the same time expect it to be well-tempered with gorgeous old sherry and deep fruitcake notes. While 'fruitcake' is a bit of a cheat when it comes to tasting notes, it's hard to argue in this case. And man...what a mouthfeel.

The Casamigos Mezcal joins the company's Tequila staple as a regular part of their line up. It is made form 100% Espadin Agave that has been smoked underground in earthen pits for 4-6 days. The pinas cooled then crushed by a traditional horse-powered tahona wheel. After that it is fermented, then distilled using copper pot stills. Bottled at 40%.

Knob Creek Cask Strength Rye

Like Knob Creek Bourbon, the Knob Creek Rye is distilled at Jim Beam distillery which is located in Clermont, Kentucky. As a Kentucky Straight Rye, the mash bill has to consist of at least 51% Rye grain and be primarily aged in Virgin Oak barrels for at least four years, unless a lesser age is stated on the bottle. Bottled at 59.8%.

Protos Reserva

Things start to get serious in this range. It's produced from south facing vineyards in the Burgos Province from 50-year-old vines and aged in French and American barrels for 18 months. It spends two years in bottle prior to release. There's some grip to this wine along with dark red fruits, spice and minerality, and ideal companion to roasted meats and game. Decanting is recommended.
