This single barrel of Haitian rum is from the Barbancourt distillery. Bottled at 49.2% after 12 years in an Ex-Bourbon barrel.
Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: corn syrup, powdered sugar and waffles; Flint Stone vitamins, whipped cream on rum soaked pineapple; Caramilk bar, creamed honey, crisp, floral and spicy.
Palate: loads more Caramilk - Turtles’ decadent, spicy, woody and floral; tangy pineapple and dried apricots; cane sugar, more corn syrup, whipped, and powdered sugar on waffles; chocolate and orange marzipan.
Finish: sweet, woody and chocolaty; more caramel and whipped topping.
Comment: this is a classic Haitian rum with delicate floral tones.
