Paranubes Rum is an artisanal aguardiente de caña produced in the rugged Sierra Mazateca of northern Oaxaca. Hidden deep in mountain valleys, the organically grown cane fields date back hundreds of years to not long after cane arrived in Mexico. Maestro Jose Luis Carrera is a third-generation producer, whose grandfather founded his community of Rio Tuerto, home of Paranubes. He has created a truly unique rum, with a rich body and notes of overripe fruit, and savory accents of nightshade and sea air.

To further enhance the flavors of the Madeira-finished whiskies, we blended them with our fruit-forward Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey.

Batch 3 of the Two Rivers Single Malt Whisky has arrived, with a new bottle style!
The whisky made entirely using Two Row Barley that was grown and malted in Alberta. After distilling, it was matured in a freshly Recharred ex-Pinot Noir cask for two years. This was followed with a one month transfer into an ex-Bourbon Cask from Woodford Reserve before heading back to its original cask for the remainder of the year. The resulting 3 year old Single Malt Whisky is bottled at 40% ABV.
Two Rivers Distillery is located in Calgary's Barley Belt. It is about a 10-minute walk from Annex Ale Project.

From the Brewery; "Backcountry began on one fateful Christmas party where its five owner-operators first met. After a few beers and a bit of banter, they realized they all had the same dream and decided to join forces as they each had a different piece of the puzzle to opening a brewery. This new group of friends decided on brewing in the beautiful mountain town of Squamish BC, head brewer John Folinsbee’s hometown. Since opening the brewery, tasting room, kitchen and retail store in 2017, Backcountry has found a nice groove in BC’s craft beer scene. At the BC Beer awards that same year, Backcountry was awarded “Rookie of the year” with medals for all three core beers as well as “Best Social Media”.
