Starting from scratch in Burgundy is tough, but Camille Thiriet and winemaker Matt Chittick have built a six-hectare domaine in just six vintages. They're reviving the lesser-known villages of Corgoloin and Comblanchien, attracting support from industry veterans such as Jeremy Seysses of Domaine Dujac, Nicolas Potel and Bernard Noblet, formerly of Domaine de la Romanee Conti. The wines are marked by purity and freshness, with a focus on delicacy and minimal intervention. Their goal is to produce high-quality, pure, and aromatic wines while showcasing lesser-known terroirs and their ability to produce superb wines. While Domaine Camille Thiriet may not be that well known (yet), just like those other pioneers who are working so closely with Camille and Matt, renown is within reach. The critics have certainly taken notice, the time to buy these is now, while prices are still reasonable.
