Barrel filled on November 24th, 2017 @ MGP Distillery of Indiana. Partially matured in Washington by Doc Swinson's, then selected by Kensington Wine Market. Bottled at a cask strength of 55.85% on August 9th, 2023. The Bourbon is 5 Years and 8 Months old.
This barrel of Bourbon is from MGP's 21% Rye Bourbon Mash Bill: 75% Corn, 21% Rye, and 4% Malted Barley

Evan's Tasting Note
Nose: Cinnamon toast, light rye bread, apple pie, peach cobbler, light cherry notes, angel food cake with strawberries, Crunchie Bars, Nutella, pralines, and a hint of ground pepper.
Palate: Juicy up from with spice notes joining in after a second or two. Plenty of peach nectar and apple juice along with some warming cinnamon and ginger-driven heat, plus more strawberry and angel food cake notes and a hint of lychee, ripe and juicy pear slices, and peppermint leaves.
Finish: Good length of finish for a Bourbon, with plenty of juicy notes and spices on the fade, plus a touch of oaky dryness.
Comment: So toasty and so, so juicy with plenty of fruit and spice notes to round things out. Delicious! It was 6 months between Harmony and I picking this cask and when we finally got the bottles into the shop. Back in June of 2023 at Doc Swinson's warehouse home in Washington, we had 'methodically' tasted through a 'handful' of different casks before we even got down to selecting our barrel, so my recollection of this Bourbon was spotty at best. Though the entire range of whiskey we tasted through would have made a great barrel pick, I am glad that we went with this one.

It is one of the few Jim Beam-made Bourbons to retain an age statement on the label, Baker’s is a minimum 7-year-old Bourbon and part of the Jim Beam premium line that also contains Booker’s and Basil Hayden’s. Named after Jim Beam’s nephew: Baker Beam, it is bottled at 53.5% ABV or 107 Proof.

Starlight Distillery resides in Indiana. Bottled at 107 proof, or 53.5% ABV, the Bourbon was aged for 4 years in the typical charred new oak and then finished in an ex-PX Sherry Barrel. Barrel number is 22-2156.

Made by Denver, Colorado's Laws Whiskey House with their four grain Bourbon mash bill of 60% corn, 20% heirloom wheat, 10% heirloom rye, 10% heirloom malted barley, this single cask of Laws Bourbon was selected by and bottled for the fine folks of PWS Imports. The selected barrel #1299 was aged for at least three years and bottled at a cask strength of 60.9%.
