Bottled at 45% alcohol and 8 years old, the Calumet Farm Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a robust whiskey and a solid value. While the Kentucky Distillery that is the source for this small batch Bourbon is undisclosed, the stated 74% Corn, 18% Rye, and 8% malted barley does match up with the purported mash bill used for Barton 1792. Could that be the producer? We don't know for sure, but this Bourbon is delicious regardless.

Nose: Cherries, cinnamon, banana peel, plum sauce, strawberry jam, rain-soaked wood chips, and a dash of Welches red grape juice.
Palate: More cherry notes along with orange juice, strawberry sauce, pralines, white chocolate, candied cinnamon hearts and sweet potato crisps.
Finish: Waxy and slightly drying, but with sweet notes and a touch of juiciness and acidity to balance it out.
Comment: Even at 45% ABV, this does not feel like it is missing anything. It could be all in my head, but this Bourbon reminds me of a few different bottlings I have had in the past from Barton Distillery. And that is a good thing. This is a solid whiskey for the price, and it carries an age statement to boot!.

Kentucky became a US state in 1792, and this — the official toasting bourbon of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival — was made to commemorate the occasion. The 1792 Ridgemont Reserve Bourbon is handcrafted in small batches, bottled at 93.7 proof and then aged eight years in new charred oak barrels. The result is smooth, mellow, rich and warm.

Russell's Reserve gets its name from the father/son Master Distiller duo of Jimmy and Eddie Russell, both of which help run Wild Turkey Distillery near Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. At 10 years old, the bourbon is bottled at 45% ABV.
Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and Associate Master Distiller Eddie Russell are the only father-son duo in the Bourbon Hall of Fame.
Wild Turkey was named such by an executive from Austin Nichols, who poured some barrel proof bourbon for friends on a wild turkey hunt. The whiskey was a hit and the next year he was asked to bring more of that Wild Turkey bourbon for the annual hunt.

Hailing from Old Forester's Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky - the 1870 is one of the releases from the Whiskey Row Series. Labelled “Original Batch”, the 1870 utilizes the typical Old Forester Bourbon Mash Bill consisting of 72% Corn, 18% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley.
This small-batch Bourbon contains whiskey source from barrels aged in three different warehouses that are then married together before being bottled at 45%.

The Amador Whiskey Company was created by Trinchero Family Estates, a name that is much more well-known in wine circles. The cool part about this for whiskey lovers is though this is a sourced Bourbon, the source is an excellent distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky that unfortunately has yet to offer any of its own whiskey in Canada. That source is Willet Distillery.
That's right - this Wheated Bourbon with a mashbill of 65% Corn, 20% Wheat, and 15% Barley was made at WIllet. It was aged in your typical virgin, charred American oak barrels for 3 years and then finished in Napa Cellars Chardonnay barrels for 9-12 months. It is bottled at 43%.
