A Canadian-exclusive bottling from our Dutch Friends at Zuidam Distillers. Patrick van Zuidam seems to have a bloodhound's nose for sussing out great sherry casks. Not coincidentally, they've developed a style of peated whisky that takes very well to said casks. I should also mention, Patrick is a smart man. He knows that if you're going to release young whisky, it helps to factor in peat and sherry. Putting the two together is almost like having a cheat code. This single cask release was fully matured in recoopered Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

Superb young example of just how versatile the spirit is that flows off the stills at Zuidam. These folks have worked in countless styles and it never ceases to amaze how well some of their more 'out-there' ideas turn out. Case in point: "Special #25", a peated white port-casked single malt. Distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2022 at 4 years of age. Trust us, it didn't need more. If you're looking for something new in peated whisky, try this.
