Kavalan is the belle of the ball no matter what it's wearing, but ex-Bourbon seems to be the most revealing. If you're looking to see what the DNA of this distillery really is, this is the best place to start. Everything else in the range is icing on the cake. This expression almost always has a staff pick sticker on it, as our entire team is smitten with Kavalan.

"Matured in top quality special edition Oloroso sherry casks, Kavalan Solist Oloroso Sherry is bottled at the distillery, without any colouring or chill-filtration. It is a naturally smooth and rich whisky with a complex character. Clean and complex with multiple layers of dried fruit, nuttiness and spices, it has some marzipan and vanilla touches to it as well."

"Fino, Spanish for 'Fine', is the driest and palest of all varieties of traditional sherry wine. Traditional Fino wine is usually dry and is best consumed shortly after the bottle is opened in order to avoid losing its flavour. Kavalan's Fino, matured in the finest Fino Sherry butts, however, provides mild sweetness that excites the palate."
