Nose: Anticipate burnt caramel, wafts of Hebridean sea air and notes of enticing peat smoke.
Palate: Delivers the ultimate distillation of Islay: reminiscent of bonfire ashes and rich earthy notes balanced by a toasted marshmallow sweetness.
Finish: Whilst these winter days may be short, the finish is satisfyingly long, with more of what went before.

The Big Peat makes one promise: 'peat." Vatted from single malts distilled at Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila and Port Ellen. What more could you ask for? This whisky may be made with Bowmore and Caol Ila, but it is its Ardbeg which is most dominant. Given that Port Ellen has been closed for 35 years, and any whisky from that distillery is now very mature, even the addition of only a small amount is very special. Earthy, chocolaty, salty, smoky, peaty and lightly medicinal. This whisky truly is Islay in a bottle. 46%.
